FM1623 - Sewerage Engineer - £18 - £28 – Nelson, Wales

  • Working with developers, consultants, local authorities and the public, the sewerage engineer will ensure that DCWW's (Welsh Water) assets are protected in line with water industry legislation and DCWW policy. Duties include dealing with local authority planning consultations and sewer network capacities.

  • In addition, the role involves vetting and supervising of sewer adoptions, diversions and other related functions, also undertaking the client's statutory obligations under the relevant legislation. The NDC is considered to be the "Guardians of DCWW's network".

  • Desirable Qualifications Bsc/BEng in Engineering Essential Qualifications HNC in Engineering or similar Essential Skills or Background No experience is necessary therefore role would suit a recent graduate

FM1423 - Senior Sewerage Engineer - £27 to 32k – South Wales

  • The team is engaged in delivering a five year investment plan of environmental improvements to waste water networks and treatment works. You will be a key member of a wider team engaged in delivering a capital programme of infrastructure improvements for a blue chip client. You will design and deliver schemes from feasibility through to construction and handover. You will be responsible for delivery to programme and budget and will supervise and lead the work of other team members.

  • The role would suit a newly chartered, or approaching it, civil engineer. And a high level of computer based skills is desirable. You will have extensive experience of the detail design of sewerage infrastructure projects and possess an appreciation of sewerage modelling techniques, preferably in a joint environment. A clear understanding of the regulatory framework within the water industry and the role of the Environment Agency will be one of your strengths. You will be an excellent verbal and written communicator.

  • The successful candidate will be self motivated, to complete and succeed with a positive attitude to continuing professional development and life long learning. They must be happy in a team environment.
